SITUATION
Children are the ones who suffer most in situations of poverty, violence and discrimination. They are denied their ability to influence decisions that affect them and are seen only as future citizens.
HOW WE ACT
We strengthen the capacities of children and adolescents, their autonomy and their ability to transform their environment and build fairer societies.
We work with schools and communities so that children and young people can participate in decision-making and lead changes that benefit their rights and environment.
We work directly with children and adolescents, providing them with information appropriate to their age, condition and socio-cultural context.
We advocate for governments to introduce laws, policies and structures that defend children’s rights and monitor the work of states in this regard.
We support families, communities and the general public to advocate for children’s rights and monitor state efforts on this issue.
We are accountable to children for our activities, and we advocate for government bodies and institutions working with children to do the same.
We promote children’s participation in emergency situations, which is essential for their self-protection and the protection of others.
At Educo, we believe that real change begins with actively listening to children. We can only achieve true global citizenship by getting to the root of children’s needs and motivations.
