WHAT WE DO

We support children and young people, helping them to escape the injustices and inequalities of the world so they can become the best versions of themselves and fulfil their potential. Educating and protecting them today to get them where they want to be tomorrow.

EDUCATION HEALS

Education is a fundamental right that enables children to enjoy all other rights, including wellbeing and a dignified life. We promote comprehensive, safe and equitable quality education. We are convinced that education changes the world. Because education heals, empowers and protects.

EDUCATION PROTECTS

Children have the right to be protected and enjoy a healthy environment free from all forms of violence, abuse, exploitation, neglect, discrimination and degrading punishment. The key to achieving this is to encourage active listening, to create protective and safe spaces, and for children to know their rights and how to exercise them.

EDUCATION EMPOWERS

Children have something to say, they have ideas and opinions, and they must be able to participate in decision-making processes and be allowed to lead changes that benefit their rights and wellbeing. We create spaces where children and adolescents can promote and defend their rights and get organised to make proposals related to their wellbeing and the issues that affect them.

IN EMERGENCIES, EDUCATION CANNOT STOP

When a crisis hits and everything is disrupted, education is the first thing to be suspended and the last thing to be restored. We work to ensure that children can continue their education and live a life free from violence even in situations of conflict or natural disasters. Because education in emergencies heals, protects and is a right.

EMERGENCIES AND HUMANITARIAN ACTION

Humanitarian action saves lives, prevents unnecessary suffering, and provides for people’s most urgent needs. That is why, in an emergency, we attend to their most basic needs as quickly as possible and try and help them get back to normal life. We also reinforce prevention and preparedness for possible emergency situations.
