WHO WE ARE

TRANSPARENCY

HOW WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE

Transparency, Participation and Feedback

We have mechanisms in place to improve the social impact we have on children and communities. We take children’s views and needs into account in all our activities because this is key if we want to work together to make the world a better place. Our priority: their wellbeing.

We are listed in the Register of Interest Groups of the Generalitat Administration and its Public Sector under number 261.

ANNUAL REPORT

The Educo Annual Report is one of our key tools for transparency and accountability, as well as for communicating with our donors and the general public. Our aim is to demonstrate how we are working to create a world in which children can enjoy dignity and opportunities, and to show how we are achieving this with the resources available to us.

WORKING TOGETHER

Thanks to the support of individuals, organisations and companies who believe in our work, we have been able to create a network that provides safety and protection, and works to improve the lives of children, their families and their communities in more than 14 countries. Because together we can make the world a better place.

75,451 DONORS

Without the support of thousands of people, companies and organisations, we would not only be unable to carry out our work, but it would also be meaningless.

We share what has been achieved and where the contributions go.

Contributions are used to fund projects that aim to improve the lives of children and their communities. We work with children and the most vulnerable groups, as well as their families, teachers and the wider community. Our priority: education.

What information do I receive when I contribute?

You receive monthly information about our projects and activities by email or in the post. In addition, every year you receive our Annual Report and, every two years, our Transparency Report.

EVERY PENNY COUNTS

As a guarantee of transparency and good use of resources, we undergo an annual external audit by Ernest & Young, who analyse our accounts and draw up an audit report which is submitted to the Protectorate of Foundations for the Catalan Government (Generalitat de Catalunya).

POLICIES

Educo continues to develop and update different policies and codes with the aim of establishing the principles and guidelines that should govern the Foundation’s work in order to achieve its objectives, in accordance with its institutional ideology.

STANDARDS

In order to demonstrate our commitment to transparency and accountability, we voluntarily commit to the principles promoted by international, national and local initiatives.
